Be Yourself… Even If the World Thinks You’re a Little Too Much
Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped being ourselves.
We stopped singing along to the radio at the top of our lungs.
We stopped dancing in the kitchen while dinner was cooking.
We stopped being a little silly, a little loud, a little carefree.
Why?
Because somewhere along the way, someone made us feel like we were too much… or not enough.
But here’s the truth: life was never meant to be lived quietly inside the expectations of other people.
Be yourself.
Sing to the radio even if you can’t carry a tune.
Dance around the kitchen while the coffee is brewing.
Laugh loudly at things that are probably not even that funny.
Be silly if you want to be silly.
The world already has enough people trying to be proper, polished, and perfectly acceptable. What it needs more of are people who are authentic.
Don’t allow others to alter who you are just because your joy makes them uncomfortable.
And while you’re at it — make other people laugh.
A good laugh can change someone’s entire day.
And if you see someone who needs help… help them.
Even if it means spending your last dime.
Yes, there will always be people who judge you for it. There will always be someone who thinks you’re foolish, irresponsible, or naïve.
But generosity has never been about impressing critics.
It’s about living with a heart that refuses to grow small.
So sing to the radio.
Dance in the kitchen.
Be a little ridiculous.
Be generous.
Be kind.
And most of all…
Be unapologetically, beautifully yourself.
Because the people who truly matter in your life will never ask you to be anyone else.
Are YOU ready?
